The Expectations of Shifting and Your Unique Path

As the energies shift and things do the proverbial 'heating up' or 'speeding up', it is very easy to feel left out and left behind, or more than a little overwhelmed.  There is SO much information out there we are being bombarded with and it's not an easy task to filter out that which does not serve your highest good.

Some people may talk or write about the most profound and/or almost unbelievable things on their blogs, websites, social media pages, etc, but that is THEIR story; THEIR truth.  Parts of if may be part of your truth, but be discerning in what you believe - Does it resonate with heart and soul?  (Some may simply be trying to convince themselves that it's the truth, for whose to say what the truth really is!  …as it changes from person to person; from situation to situation; from experience to experience.)  So I prefer to use the word 'vision' than the word 'truth'.  What is your 'Vision' - the 'roadmap' to your soul self and your journey?  How do you find it?  There are no easy answers, nor quick fix steps.  It's about taking one step at a time - sometime cautiously, other times taking a leap of faith and yet other times gingerly taking a step back to re-evaluate things, but as long as the general direction is forward - all is good!

It is SO important to not look to others for the 'benchmark', for the 'finish line'.  Firstly, I do not believe there is a finish line as we would understand through our experience of the term.  It's an ongoing process and always will be irrespective of where your Spiritual path has taken you thus far.  Secondly, no-one has the same journey, even though here on Earth in the physical plane we've been led to believe that this is the case.  We are given boxes to fit into and made to feel useless or stupid if we don't fit into any of them.  Yet it's our differences, our own special form of 'weirdness' that carry the keys to our own unique paths and the true beauty within each of us.

My journey, your journey, their journey is as unique as our fingerprints, our DNA.  As unique as a zebra's stripes - never the same.  So those who write or speak about their having 'arrived' at some pinnacle, it's really just a point on their path (yes, it may be a high point for them) - but it's still theirs, not yours.  You may at some stage stand on a similar point, and still it may take you on to a difference place.  A place that only you will know is correct if you follow your own path with love, compassion and intuition for self and for others.  Don't follow the path of others - rather follow the encouragement others offer you to follow your own path.  For your own path IS the gift you have to offer the world.  So step out, head held high and begin your own special journey, for you are a unique, valuable, important part of the whole and your radiant Soul is a blessing to all.

Expansion Into Your True Self

This morning I felt the need to share with you, these words.  May you find joy, peace and love within them and may they give you the courage and determination to expand into the beautiful unique Soul that I KNOW you ARE!  Much love and gratitude xxx

'Her body is no longer big enough for her dreams, her joy, her love, her passion for life.  She is expanding outwards, filling her aura with all that has been bottled up; all that nourishes and supports life - all that IS truly, authentically HER!  Her beauty is no longer purely physical, it's a tangible, yet invisible force of strength, of determination, of everything she's hidden, in fear of being rejected.  But she is no longer afraid.  The power, the love, the connection to All is calling, it's sound reverberating in every cell.  She knows now, she IS love, she IS beauty, she IS ALL and she's embracing every single aspect of this knowing into her being.  And as she expands she feels the expansion of every other Soul's expansion and awakening. With all the work we are doing on the planet and on ourselves to reach a greater spiritual awareness, it is very easy to loose touch with our roots, our physical body.

After all we are living in a physical plane of existence and it is essential to remain grounded and connected to the Earth - especially now - fully aware of our bodies and it's cycles.

As Anodea Judith said:  "To loose our connection with the body is to become spiritually homeless.  Without an anchor we float aimlessly, battered by the winds and waves of life."

We are not only made up of stars and the material of the Universe but of the Earth, the elements that form all of life on this planet.  It is this connection to the Earth that enables us to feel a sense of belonging on the physical level while we seek a greater sense of belonging to the Universe; to Spirit.

Society makes us believe we need many possessions to satisfy our survival instincts on this planet.  In fact it is often the pursuit of these superfluous possessions which cause much of the strife in our lives; not to mention the depletion of limited natural resources; the suffering of many animals and humans and the creation of ever increasing levels of pollution and waste.

Indeed, it seems that the more we strive for greater materialism the less we feel in control of our own survival.

It is high time we took stock of our lives and acknowledged that we need less of everything.  Each and every one of us are here; living this life now.  Our basic survival requires food for health and growth; shelter and clothing for protection - all of which are abundantly available on this planet.  We need to connect more fully to Mother Earth; our fellow humans and all life which shares our Earthly home with us and begin to live together as a whole community not as fractured individuals trying to outdo and control one another.  We have the power within each of us to feel a sense of belonging; of contentment; of peace and happiness if we can set aside our greed, our mistrust of others, our fear and start thinking of all life as a symbiotic community; not feeding OFF of each other but feeding, nurturing and taking care OF each other.

Plant your feet firmly on Mother Earth; sense and feel the connection to her and through her to every other living being on the planet.  Feel her pulse and tune your heart into it!

It has been a very long time since I wrote anything for my blog.  But that's how life's been for the past months.  An acceleration of energy; an intensification of purpose and direction towards the end of 2012.  And then……………….a time of utterly deep rest and reflection in the beginning of 2013.

I have learnt over the last few years (and it's got easier and easier as time goes by) that to resist or fight anything when it comes to evolving and lifting the spirit is futile and painful.  To release to it but not succumb to it totally so that one's identity is lost in the process is for me the answer.  I say 'for me', as we all have to find our own way now.  This is really important - now more so than every before.  It's no longer going to work to blindly follow someone else and hope you get to where you want to be.  Your uniqueness dictates that you find your own way through your own truth.

Once you find that state of being truly YOU, a greater peace will settle over your life.  Everything you do and all that happens around you will not be able to shift you into a lower vibrational state.  At first perhaps a little, but as you continue to practice living true to you and your path - and only yours - you will find you will be able to maintain a state of peace and bliss almost permanently.  Sure, bad things may happen around you and to you, but they will no longer have the power to destroy your inner calm.  And it is from that inner calm that you can achieve anything you wish.  That inner calm gives you a sense of deep peace and contentment that will assist you through anything that life throws at you.  It will also give you an inner strength; a strength you never even dreamed you could attain.

For me, the keys to finding and maintaining this personal truth is to maintain a firm footing on Mother Earth and to allow everything, both internal and external to flow through your heart centre and connect fully to your intuition.  Your intuition works directly through your heart chakra and will always feel right.  Don't second guess this process.  Simply trust and allow.

The Goddess within you is waiting for you to join her and walk your own unique path hand in hand with her, to regain your divinity, your strength and your wisdom.  You will not be losing anything in the process, but gaining something more valuable, more precious than anything you've every imagined!

You will feel a deeply blissful connection to life - from the smallest grain of sand to the most vast outreaches of space - and find a freedom of soul, of mind, of body, of spirit, the likes of which you never thought possible.

I am everything, I am nothing;
I am earth, I am sky;
I am a speck of dirt, I am the universe;
I am peace, I am bliss ♥

I AM EVERYONE, EVERYONE IS ME!

I have not posted much recently as I have been busy with a number of projects.  But as per usual as is with the case of many of my artworks, poems and other written work, I am awakened in the wee hours of the morning, with an urgency to get what's in my head written or drawn onto paper.  Not easy to motivate myself to do in mid-winter when snow is falling a short way away in the mountains and temperatures are hovering around freezing!

But I know that no sleep will come to me until these thoughts and ideas are written down.  Last night was no exception and what follows is what came to me at 2.45am this morning and I felt the need to share it:

I AM everyone,

Everyone is me.

Everyone is an aspect of me.

When I resent or am angered or repelled by others, it is merely an aspect of MYSELF I resent, or am repelled or angered by.

It is that particular aspect I see in them that I am fearful of in me.

The aspect that they are exhibiting which brings out a negative response in me is usually either one I take great pains not to exhibit myself or is an exact mirror of a specific trait or behaviour of myself which I do not like.

Once I learn to connect to or see others as a mirroring of what I am or what I try hard not to be, I will be able to see both them and myself from a position of understanding and compassion.

I am only then able to release that fearful aspect from within me and begin to 'heal' myself of it.

I am then also able to understand my connection to others - not only other people, but all life and understand the lessons within each.

For as I 'heal', my response to that aspect of myself which I see in others no longer comes from a position of judgement and fear but changes to a compassionate outpouring of understanding and love for all life.  And truly connects me to all that is.

2012 - Be the change!

Wherever you go, one of the main topics on most people's minds is 'What is 2012 going to bring?'  'What's going to happen?'  The challenges we face may be our greatest yet on this planet.

There are almost as many opinions as there are people.  But it seems like the overriding factor within all these opinions is that there is going to be change, or more specifically, there has to be change.  And I agree.  Globally our systems are proving to be outdated and are not based on sustainable foundations.  We see the same people getting richer and richer yet more and more people dropping below the breadline.  We see pollution and destruction of the natural world reaching epic proportions.  But change is starting to happen.  The question is though, will it be enough and will it be in time?  AND what are you doing to assist in making positive changes?

I believe that each one of us has to look at the following 3 aspects of our lives in order to manifest positive change.  And there is no better time to start than the present.

The three aspects are; Choices, Responsibility, Change.  All are undeniably linked and it's how we look at and integrate each one into our lives that will make the difference.

CHOICES:  We have a number of difference choices for every situation that we as individuals or as a group are faced with.  In many aspects of our lives, institutions like governments and religions manipulate us into making choices that are in their interests, at the expense of ours.  And we believe that is the way it has to be.  But it doesn't and it shouldn't!  A wise man once said:  "Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely".  And sadly no country in the world seems to be exempt of this fact.  The choices then that we make as individuals are more important than ever.  For if we continue to hand over our lives, our futures, our personal power to those who exploit it for their own benefit, we can only lose.  And at the end of the day it will be our own fault for neglecting to do something about it.  So the secret is to find the courage to stand and live in your own power and make the right choices that will benefit the whole, even if at times it seems that you are the only one standing up to the system.  What is of utmost importance is that we take responsibility for the choices we make and for the lives we lead and not place the blame on someone else or expect others to fix things for us.

RESPONSIBILITY:  When we take responsibility for our lives, we soon learn to make the correct choices.  The responsibility I speak of is not only towards ourselves, but to our children, our fellow human beings and our home - Mother Earth.  From a young age we are taught to shrug our responsibility by placing blame on others.  We are taught a very warped version of responsibility.  We are taught that if someone does something bad to someone else, we must keep quiet - 'whistle-blowing' is bad.  Especially if it's someone you know.  But this teaches us to 'bury our heads in the sand'; 'sit on the fence'; or 'not get involved' and this doesn't solve any problems.  Wake up people, THIS IS YOUR LIFE! - Everything affects everything and everyone!  So you need to carefully think of the consequences of every choice you make.  How they will affect, not only you, but your family, your community and the world.  Only you are responsible for your own happiness.  There are people out there who love and support you, but ultimately you have to make your own responsible choices in life and either reap the benefits of them or face the consequences. 

CHANGE:  We've all been told a million times that change is inevitable and that's true.  If there are aspects of your life you do not like, you personally need to start taking steps to bring about the changes you wish to see.  You needn't go through these changes alone, but you have to make the choices on your own and they must be your choices, not someone else's.  As the saying goes, "You have to be the change you want to see."  The human spirit and psyche are powerful forces on this planet, embrace them and live your life from a position of strength, courage and love.  By making responsible choices you can bring about positive change and help make 2012 the turning point to a brighter future for all on this beautiful planet.
